Perimeter on the Playground


We have recently started a unit on measurement (perimeter and area) in P1 and today we braved today's crazy spring flurries to practise measuring length and width to calculate perimeter. Students worked in groups and had to measure the perimeter of two of the following: a portable, the play structure, a 4 square, a part of the main school building or the top of one of the picnic tables.

I'm really looking forward to them sharing their results tomorrow!

  1. Me and my group measured the perimeter of one of the four squares and the perimeter of one of the picnic tables.
